Proof for Pets

We are often asked if our products are safe and beneficial for pets. The answer is a resounding yes! 

Proof uses refined coconut oil (also known as MCT oil) in our tinctures. Coconut oil is a great and healthy supplement for pets and can help with coat and skin health, digestion wellness, and help with an energy boost! A study published in the scientific journal PLOS One demonstrated that such oils helped offset age-related declines in health. 

And, of course, there is the cannabis oil and its benefits for animals. While research is limited, it appears that animals experience many of the same benefits as do humans from cannabinoids, though we recommend minimal doses of THC, focusing instead on maximal doses of CBD.

When the Proof’s founders’ dog Vela started aging, cannabis CBD tinctures helped reduce her inflammation and stiffness, calmed her anxiety, helped ease her pain, and kept up her appetite. In her final weeks of life, we increased Vela’s dose of Proof tinctures, which helped ease many of her symptoms and gave her peace. After 15 years of love, sadly Vela passed away in 2020 but she lives on in our Proof illustrations and photos. She is and will forever be one of Proof’s best patients.
